THIS YEAR:  Senior captain Brianne Huff is 1 of 2 players from head coach Chris Keife’s initial recruiting class who will wrap up a 4-year collegiate career at Azusa Pacific, joining fellow senior Alison Pattison … A returning starter who will play a key role in Azusa Pacific’s talented group of outside hitters … Plays a physical, aggressive style of defense … Has an effective serve and continues to develop her consistency … Serves as a spiritual leader to the team. 

2006 (Junior):  Started 19 times and appeared in 33 of the Cougars’ 35 matches … Finished third on the team in kills with 334, adding 101 digs and 20 service aces … Helped lead Azusa Pacific to a hot 16-4 start, registering 8 or more kills in each of the first 19 matches of the campaign … Registered double-digit kills in all 8 matches of non-conference tournament play, averaging nearly 4 kills per game, including a career-high 19 kills in a 4-game win over Dordt (Iowa) … Collected 13 kills and a season-high 13 digs in a 4-game home win over The Master’s. 

2005 (Sophomore):  Was again an integral part of the team, playing in all 37 matches and making 18 starts … Recorded 232 digs, 26 kills and 16 assists … Had 8 service aces … Averaged 1.89 digs per game … Had a .943 passing percentage … Had at least 10 kills in 7 matches … Set a season-high with 13 digs against Point Loma Nazarene … Recorded a career-high with 16 kills against Savannah Art & Design (Ga.) … Notched 12 kills against Concordia. 

2004 (Freshman):  Appeared in all 33 of the Cougars’ matches … Had a solid freshman season during which she contributed 244 kills, 217 digs, 54 blocks, and 47 serving aces … Was second on the team with 60 assists … Ranked sixth in the GSAC with an average of 0.41 aces per game … Twice had a season-high 13 kills … In the season’s early going burst onto the scene with a stretch of 3 consecutive matches with 11 or more kills … Recorded a season-high 15 digs in the Cougars’ first meeting against The Master’s … Twice notched double digits in kills and digs in the same match, registering 13 kills, 12 digs, and a season-high 5 blocks against Hope International and 10 kills and 10 digs against Point Loma Nazarene. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Prepped 4 varsity seasons for head coach Scotty Lane at Warren High in Downey, Calif. … Was a 4-time All-San Gabriel Valley League selection … Earned All-CIF Division I first team honors and was named to the Long Beach Press Telegram Dream Team as a 2003 senior after leading the Bears to their first-ever CIF Division I championship match … Was her team's kills and blocks leader in each of her 4 seasons … Led the Bears to a combined 104-19 mark in 4 seasons, including a 34-6 mark in league play … Also ran 1 season of track (sprints). 

PERSONAL:  Born May 10, 1986, in Whittier, Calif., to Rick and Donna Huff … Has 1 sister (Kendra) … Her father, Rick, played collegiate basketball at Chico State … Majoring in English with a minor in psychology, with the goal of becoming a teacher or counselor after graduation … Was the secretary and publicity coordinator of the Interact Club … Participated in Assisteens, ASPIRE and Girls’ League …  Carried a 3.87 GPA while earning the Silver Bear Award at Warren High … Enjoys surfing, swimming, reading and the beach.
