THIS YEAR:  The energetic Carly Halm is a hard-working athlete known for her ability to bring a team together … Looking for a healthy campaign after battling injuries her first two track seasons.
 
2018 (sophomore):  Was sidelined much of the season with an injury and surgery … Clocked an 11:25.14 in the 3000 at the Rossi Relays in late February.
  
CALVIN:  Spent her 2016 freshman season competing for NCAA Division III Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich. … Appeared in 5 cross country meets for the Knights, recording a 5K-best  of 19:52.4.
 
CROSS COUNTRY:  Has appeared in 11 meets for the Cougars during her career, posting a 6K-best of 23:35.1 to finish 28^th at the 2018 PacWest Championship meet in Fresno, Calif. … Also completed in the NCAA Division II West Regional Meet where she clocked a 23:54.75 in Billings, Mont … Ran a 24:04.6 at the 2017 PacWest Championships.
 
HIGH SCHOOL:  Ran 4 seasons of cross country and track & field for head coach Matt Rainwater at Brea-Olinda High in Brea, Calif. … Was a 4-time all-league honoree and 4-time team MVP in cross country for the Wildcats … As a 2015 senior, finished 14 at the CIF Southern Section finals with an 18:40.7 and was 39^th at the CIF state meet with a career-best 18:49.8 over the 5K course … As a 2014 junior was 14^th at the CIF finals and fourth the Century League Championships … As a 2013 sophomore was 21^st at CIFs and fourth in Century League finals … In track & field posted career-bests of 5:17.82 in the 1600 and 11:39.82 in the 3200 during her junior campaign.
 
PERSONAL:  Born Dec. 7, 1997, in La Habra, Calif., to David and Sheryl Halm … Has 2 brothers (Travis, Lance) … Cousins Grant and Lucas Widmer played football for Azusa Pacific … Majoring in Kinesiology … Would like to be a physical therapist working with special needs children.
