THIS YEAR: Senior Sarah Wilson enters her fourth season at Azusa Pacific after putting together 3 strong seasons as one of the Cougars’ most consistent offensive players … Reached over 750 career kills and 550 career digs last season … Has been a key piece of the Cougars attack throughout her career and is expected to provide veteran leadership while continuing to be one of the Cougars’ top offensive threats.
2025 (junior): Appeared in 25 matches as a 2025 junior, playing in 89 sets … Was a key asset of the Cougar offense, totalling 257 kills, 221 digs, 18 service aces, 18 total blocks and 7 assists … Reached double figures in kills 16 times, including a career-high-tying 21 kills with 20 digs in a Cougar win over Menlo … Also tallied 16 kills in a Cougar victory over Dominican and 15 kills against Jessup.
2024 (sophomore): Appeared in 26 matches as a 2024 sophomore, playing in 99 sets … Continued to be one of the Cougars’ top offensive threats, finishing second on the team with 289 kills while adding 220 digs, 19 total blocks, 16 service aces and 11 assists … Reached double figures in kills 16 times, highlighted by a career-high 21 kills against Fresno Pacific in the season finale … Added 18-kill performances against Hawaii Hilo and Menlo, along with 17 kills in a Cougar win over Academy of Art.
2023 (freshman): Put together an outstanding rookie season in which she was third on the team in kills with 223, the most by a Cougar freshman since Annaka Jorgenson's 336 in 2019 ... Started all 28 matches, appearing in 94 of the Cougars' 102 sets played ... Averaged 2.37 kills per set and 2.64 points per set ... Recorded a career-high 15 kills, playing in just 4 sets of a 5-set win over Concordia at home ... Needed just one week of college play to find her comfort zone, putting together 4-match stretch during the second week of the season in which she tallied 52 kills in just 15 sets (3.5 kills/set and a .238 attack percentage), leading Azusa Pacific to a trio of victories ... In all, had 9 matches of double-digit kills, including 14 each vs. DII west region powers Northwest Nazarene and Cal Poly Pomona.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity volleyball at Great Oak High in Temecula, Calif. ... Guided the Wolfpack to a 35-19 (.648) record during her final 2 years ... Her 2020 sophomore campaign was canceled because of COVID ... Led the Wolfpack to a pair of CIF appearances ... As a 2022 senior, named Riverside Press Enterprise All-Inland Empire second team after leading Great Oak to a 17-13 record.
