High School: Played four years of varsity tennis at Monache High School in Porterville, Calif. under head coach Gary Perez... Captained the team all four years... Won the East Yosemite League singles championship all four years... Took fourth place in the CIF sectional singles tournament as a junior and was named Tulare County Player of the Year... Repeated as Tulare County Player of the Year as a senior too.
