THIS YEAR: Now in her third year in the program, Brynja Martin is looking to use her program experience and familiarity with the system to translate into a significant role with the Cougars ... Known as a company player with good people skills and great maturity.
2023: Saw her first collegiate action on the court, appearing in 5 matches, all in PacWest play, while recording 7 kills on 16 attempts with just 1 error (.375 attack percentage) ... Had 3 kills to go along with a block in the Cougars' straight set victory over Hawaii Pacific at home.
2022: Did not appear in a match this year.
2021 (Freshman): Redshirted and did not appear in any matches.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity volleyball for prep power San Marcos (Calif.) High, but had her 2020 senior season cut short by COVID ... Was part of a Knight program that went 73-12 (.859) during her time on the varsity program ... Played for Head Coach Sherry Clouet, former All-American player at Syracuse and Florida State.
PERSONAL: Birth date is May 8 ... Majoring in chemistry with a minor is phychology.
