CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:  Senior forward Sarah Yoro is a 2-time NAIA All-American and All-GSAC selection … Moved into Azusa Pacific’s career top 10 in goals and points in just 3 seasons, tying for seventh in goals with 38 and ranking ninth in points with 93 … Was deadly from the penalty spot, converting 10 straight penalty kick opportunities over the past 2 seasons … Scored 15 goals and 6 assists in postseason play … Missed only 1 game in 3 seasons.
 
2008 (Senior): Was 1 of 4 Cougar All-Americans earning NAIA first team recognition after scoring 16 goals and assisting 5 more in 21 games of action … Started all 21 games in which she appeared … Scored 3 of Azusa Pacific’s 5 game-winning postseason goals and tallied 6 of her 16 goals in postseason contests … Scored 2 goals 5 times, doing so twice in back-to-back games … Scored 2 goals, including the game-winner, and assisted another in Azusa Pacific’s 10-1 win over William Jessup in the NAIA Tournament Opening Round, helping the Cougars tie the NAIA Tournament single-game scoring record … Came right back for 2 more goals with another game-winner in a 3-0 win over Cal State San Marcos in the NAIA Tournament second round … Registered 4 goals and 3 assists in the first 2 games of the season, posting a 2-goal, 2-assist effort in an 8-0 season-opening win over William Penn (Iowa) before tallying 2 goals and another assist in a 5-0 victory over Ohio Dominican.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 4 varsity seasons for head coach Ray Akiona at Mililani (Hawaii) High … Was part of Mililani’s 2002 Hawaii state championship squad as a freshman, playing alongside then-senior and current Cougar Jolie Nitta … Was a 3-time all-state first team pick … Led the Trojans to state runner-up finishes in 2003 and 2004 … As a 2004 junior, named the Oahu Interscholastic Association’s player of the year.
