THIS YEAR: Senior midfielder Randie Massro is 1 of 4 returning NAIA All-Americans, and she will patrol Azusa Pacific’s central midfield for the fourth straight year … Has good size and can dominate in the air … Is a force in the middle of the field … Has started all 63 games of her collegiate career.
2006 (Junior): Started all 23 games while leading Azusa Pacific to the third NAIA title game in program history … Earned NAIA All-American third team recognition and earned a selection to the all-tournament team at the NAIA Tournament … Scored 4 goals and recorded 6 assists … Scored 1 of her 2 game-winning goals on a picture-perfect diving header early in the second half of the Cougars’ 1-0 NAIA quarterfinal victory over GSAC rival Westmont … Assisted the first 2 goals in a 5-1 rout of Westmont in the NAIA Region II semifinals.
2005 (Sophomore): An All-GSAC performer, started each of the Cougars’ 22 contests in the midfield … Finished tied for third on the team with 4 goals … Recorded 10 points … Had 2 assists … Twice recorded 3 points in a game … Had a goal and an assist in the Cougars’ 3-0 win over Indiana Wesleyan in the first round of the NAIA Tournament … Duplicated the feat against Vanguard with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Vanguard … Scored a goal in the Cougars’ 4-1 win over Lee (Tenn.).
2004 (Freshman): Started all 18 games as a 2004 freshman … Was fourth on the team with 11 points … Scored 3 goals and totaled 5 assists … Had a season-high 4 points against Point Loma Nazarene with a goal and 2 assists in a 4-0 win (Oct. 30) … Notched a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over The Master’s (Oct. 6) … Scored the Cougars’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Biola … Tallied assists in wins over Cal Poly Pomona and California Baptist.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 4 varsity seasons at CIF Southern Section-power Bonita High in La Verne, Calif., for head coach Mike Dyer … Was a 2-time All-CIF and a 3-time all-league first team honoree … Named Maramonte League MVP as a 2004 senior … Led the Bearcats to 4 straight undefeated (32-0-0) league titles as well as CIF semifinal appearances in 2003 and 2004 … As a 2002 sophomore, led the Bearcats to a 30-1-2 finish and the CIF championship … Was a 4-time Scholar Athlete … Also played 2 seasons of volleyball.
PERSONAL: Born July 7, 1986, in Whittier, Calif., to Rick Massro and Christine Auxier … Has one sister, Brittany, a sophomore goalkeeper for the USC women’s soccer team … Her father, Rick, played football at Azusa Pacific from 1976-78 and her mother played volleyball in 1979 and was a member of the Cougars’ AIAW national championship team … Majoring in business marketing … Would like to pursue a career in advertising … Enjoys the beach, snowboarding, playing the piano and movies.
