THIS YEAR: Freshman Paisley Rankin begins her first season at Azusa Pacific after a multi-sport prep career at Highland High in Bakersfield, Calif. … A 5-foot-5 forward, Rankin joins the Cougar program after earning all-league recognition and leading her high school team in goals as a senior.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played soccer at Highland High in Bakersfield, Calif., competing as a winger, forward and midfielder … Appeared in over 80 varsity soccer games during her 4-year prep career … As a 2026 senior, scored a team-high 6 goals to help the Scots finish with a 9-5-4 record … Earned all-league first team honors and all-star team recognition … As a 2024 sophomore, earned all-league honorable mention recognition and received the school’s “Plaid Award” while helping Highland to an 11-13-2 record … As a 2023 freshman, helped Highland to an 11-9-5 record and earned all-league honorable mention recognition … Played club soccer for South Valley Surf under Head Coach Kristy Walker … Also competed in volleyball, softball, wrestling and track & field during her prep career
