Biography
THIS YEAR: The emotional leader of the team, 2-time All-GSAC honoree Nicole Restivo is 1 of just 2 seniors on the team . . . Is an excellent defender who is known as a vocal and feisty player . . . Has good dribbling skills, perhaps best on the team . . . Intelligent about the game and quite mature . . . One of the most experienced Cougars, having played in 64 games and missing just 1 game in her 3-year Cougar career . . . Should push for postseason honors again.
1997: Received NAIA All-American honorable mention and All-GSAC first team honors as a 1997 junior . . . Started all 21 games played . . . Attempted 16 shots, scoring twice, both in separate contests vs. Concordia.
1996: Appeared in all 22 games, starting 21, including the first 18 of the season . . . Did not score but did attempt 13 shots . . . Assisted on 4 goals, including 2 against Southern Cal College. 1995: Garnered All-GSAC first team honors and joined Kerri Sparks as the first freshmen in Cougar history to earn All-GSAC recognition . . . Started all 21 games . . . Scored 2 goals and 5 points to go along with 16 shots on goal. . . Scored both goals against Biola and assisted on a game-winning goal vs. USIU.
HIGH SCHOOL: Enjoyed a 4-year standout career at Laguna Hills (Calif.) High . . . As a 1995 senior, was the CIF Defensive Player of the Year, All-CIF first team, Los Angeles Times All-Orange Country first team, Orange County Register All-County second team, and All-Pacific Coast League first team . . . Teamed with current Cougar Allison Nagle to lead the Hawks to the 1995 CIF Division II semi-finals . . . Played all 116 minutes of a double sudden-death OT in a second round CIF victory over Canyon High . . . As a 1994 junior was All-CIF second team, All-Pacific Coast League first team and All-Orange County Coaches second team.
PERSONAL: Born May 30 in Whittier, Calif. . . . English major with a communication minor . . . Wants to teach and coach at the high school level.
