THIS YEAR: Senior forward Mari Kasamoto returns to give experienced depth to the Cougars’ talented group of forwards … Has excellent technical ability … Is solid and makes few mistakes.
2006 (Redshirt): Was awarded a medical redshirt after suffering a season-ending injury in the second game of the season … Started the Cougars’ season opener, a 1-0 victory over Bellevue (Neb.).
2005: Started 20 of the 21 games in which she played … Recorded 8 points as she had 3 goals and 2 assists … Had the game-winning goal against Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) giving the Cougars a 2-1 win which snapped the Blue Raiders snapping their 35-game home win streak … Tallied a score in a 2-1 Cougar victory over Notre Dame de Namur … Had her assists in key moments as each led to goals in a pair of 1-0 wins over California Baptist and San Diego Christian … Took 33 shots.
2004: Appeared in 12 games this past season making 5 starts … Scored 2 goals (4 points) … Had back-to-back games with a goal … Scored her first goal against Hope International in a 3-1 win (Oct. 27) … Followed up with another goal in the next game against Point Loma Nazarene, a 4-0 Cougar victory (Oct. 30) … Started the final 5 games of the season including the Cougars’ NAIA Tournament first round contest.
