THIS YEAR: Freshman winger Jaedyn Aldaz begins her first season with the Azusa Pacific women’s soccer program. The 5-foot-5 newcomer joins the Cougars after a decorated multi-sport career at Calvary Chapel Downey … Noted for her athleticism and high character … Is a natural leader.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Calvary Chapel Downey in Downey, Calif., in 2026 … Played 3 varsity seasons of soccer under head coach Kenny Rogers … Competed at winger, striker, attacking midfielder, holding midfielder, center midfielder and defender … Served as team captain during her junior and senior seasons … named all-conference first team in each of her final 3 seasons … Named the team MVP as a junior and senior … Received the Coaches Award as a sophomore … Helped the Grizzlies qualify for the CIF playoffs 3 times, including an appearance in the second round as a senior … Also competed in track & field, cross country and volleyball … Earned all-conference first team honors in track & field as a junior and senior and received the Mighty in Spirit Award as a senior … Gathered all-conference first team honors and team MVP in cross country as a junior … Served as a captain in soccer, track & field and cross country. She proudly finished up her time at Calvary Chapel by receiving the athlete of the year award.
PERSONAL: Born April 15, 2008 … Daughter of Ascension Aldaz and Marisol Aldaz … Has four sisters (Angel, Gia, Bella, Emery) … Her mother was on the soccer coaching staff at Calvary Chapel … Majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Bible … Plans to pursue a career in sports chiropractic medicine … Enjoys journaling, spending time with family and friends, diamond painting, singing and playing the ukulele.
