THIS YEAR: Enters her fourth season with the program as one of the team’s more versatile players.
 
2011 (junior): Played in 20 games, starting 12 times...Scored two goals and tallied three assists...Found the back of the net against the eventual national champions, Lee (Tenn.), on August 27...Scored the game-winner against San Diego Christian on October 22...Registered and assists against Mobile in Azusa Pacific’s quarterfinal win over Mobile (Ala.)...Finished with 25 shots, nine on goal.
 
2010 (sophomore): Received playing time in 16 games, all as a reserve ... Team had an overall record of 13-1-2 in games she appeared in ... Registered goals against William Carey and Fresno Pacific for a total of four points on the season ... Four of nine shots taken were on goal ... Only committed one yellowcard infraction on the year.
 
2009 (freshman):  Appeared in 11 of the Cougars' 22 games as a midfielder ... Had three shots on the season but did not score.
 
HIGH SCHOOL:  Played four years of varsity soccer for head coach and former Azusa Pacific forward Shane Bangle at Glendora (Calif.) High ... Was a two-time All-San Gabriel Valley player, including first-team honors as a senior... Was a four-time All-Sierra League Academic Athlete ... Named team MVP as a 2009 senior and 2008 junior ... Was also a two-time All-Sierra League first team selection ... As a senior, captained the Tartans to a CIF appearance, only the second ever in school history.
 
PERSONAL: Born Aug. 20, 1991, in Pasadena, Calif. ... Parents are Azusa Pacific alumni Dan and Jenny Wood ... Has one older sister (Somerlyn, who also attends Azusa Pacific) ... Father and uncle Benjamin played soccer for the Cougars ... Uncle Mike Barnett is the women's track and field head coach for the Cougars ... Majoring in political science ... Wants to pursue a career as a high school history teacher ... Enjoys snowboarding and reading.
