THIS YEAR: An experienced newcomer, guard Chris Gayles spent the past 3 seasons at neighborhood rival Cal Poly Pomona where he developed in a reliable, starting guard for one of the top DII programs on the west coast ... Will press for a starting berth with the Cougars and at the very least give them great depth off the bench.
CAL POLY POMONA: Played in 73 games (starting 41) for Head Coach Greg Kamansky during 3 active seasons with the Broncos ... Missed the 2021 season because of COVID and redshirted the 2020 campaign ... Averaged 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists during his 3-year Bronco career ... Averaged 8.3 points as a 2023 junior and 6.7 points and 1.3 assists as a 2024 junior when he started 24 of 26 games he played for the Broncos ....
