THIS YEAR:  Senior Britany Nachtrieb returns for her final season after sitting out the 2005 campaign … Has the ability to control play in the middle and distribute well to the attackers … A proven clutch performer with a knack for scoring key goals. 

2005:  Did not play. 

2004:  Played in 14 games and started 10 games … Was a starter in 7 of the Cougars’ 10 conference contests … Put her only shot of the season on goal in a 2-1 loss to eventual GSAC champion Biola. 

2003:  Appeared in 16 games, starting 13 of them as a central midfielder … Started the final 12 games of the season … Scored just 1 goal, but it came just before the final whistle blew in the Cougars’ regular-season finale, a 2-1 win at Point Loma Nazarene … Took 7 shots. 

2002:  Appeared in all 20 games as a reserve … Came on strong in the second half of the season, finishing with 2 goals and 2 assists (6 points) … Tallied her first collegiate point with an assist against California Baptist … Scored her first goal, which proved to be the game-winner against Concordia … Scored her second goal of the season, providing the Cougars with an insurance tally late in the game in  3-2 win over Notre Dame de Namur in the semifinals of the NAIA Region II playoffs … Added an assist against Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) in the second round of the NAIA Tournament. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 4 varsity seasons for head coach Susie Daher at Mission Viejo (Calif.) High … Was team captain and second leading scorer as the Diablos finished 12-5-6, 3-1-5 as a 2002 senior … Led the Diablos to a pair of league championships … Named All-South Coast League in leading the Diablos to the CIF Division II championship as a 2001 junior … Was part of the Diablos’ CIF Division I runner-up team as a 1999 freshman … Also ran 3 years of track and field in middle distance events … Was the 800-meter champion at the Orange County Championships as a 2000 sophomore. 

PERSONAL:  Born April 13, 1984 in Fullerton, Calif., to Eric and Lynne Nachtrieb … Has 1 brother (Dan) and 1 sister (Ali) … Majoring in communication with an emphasis in journalism … Was ASB junior class president at Mission Viejo High … Enjoys snowboarding and surfing.
