THIS YEAR: Senior distance runner Naomi Sotelo Trejo enters her second season with the Azusa Pacific cross country program after emerging as one of the Cougars’ top runners during her first season in 2025 … Looks to build on a strong debut campaign while continuing to compete in both cross country and track & field.
2025 (junior): Competed in every meet during her 2025 junior season at Azusa Pacific … Made her Cougar debut by leading the women’s team, finishing 29th out of 152 runners at the Biola Invitational, covering the 5K course in 19:01.9 … Finished 23rd at the PacWest Championships with 22:49 on the 6K course in Waipahu, Hawaii … Posted a 6K season-best 22:22.9 to finish 18th out of 209 runners at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational … Appeared in just 3 meets during the track season, running a couple of 800-meters and a DMR before shutting down at the end of March.
