2021: Earned All-West Region and First Team All-PacWest distinction... Placed fifth at PacWest Championships... Finished 12th at West Regionals.

ST. MARY’S:  Ran 2 seasons of cross country at St. Mary’s, including a COVID-shortened sophomore campaign conducted in the spring of 2021 … Competed in 5 meets overall, including 4 as a 2019 freshman … Best showing came at the 2019 Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento where she clocked a 21.40 over the 6K Course at Haggins Oaks Golf Course in the invitational section of the meet … Opened her collegiate career by running a 22:11 to finish 11th at the USF Invitational at Golden Gate Park … In the only competition of her sophomore season, recorded a 5K 19:43 at the William Jessup Invitational in Sacramento, Calif.

TRACK & FIELD:  Competed in 2 track & field meets at St. Mary’s before the 2020 season was shut down by the pandemic … Recorded a 5:03.63 in the 1500 at the Cal Opener and ran a leg on the Gaels’ 4:09.06 4x400 relay at the West Coast Invitational … Did not compete during the 2021 track & field season.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Ran 4 seasons of track & field and 3 in cross country for Head Coach Morgan Gallegos at Gregori High in Salida, Calif. … Qualified for 2 CIF State Cross Country Championship Meets, finishing 54th out of 188 runners  at the 2018 meet at Woodward Park with a 5K 19:00, and 645h out of 199 runners with a 19:03 at Woodward in 2016 … In the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section championships, finished 5th as a senior with a 19:22.6, 13th at the 2016 race with a 19:03, and 8th at the 2015 meet with a 3.4K 13:48 … Was hampered much of her  junior season with a stress fracture … In track & field, was a 2019 CIF champion in the 800 (2:21.45) while leading the Jaguars to a second-place team finish ...  Ran the second leg on Gregori’s 4x400 relay that set the Sacramento Meet of Champions record at 4:02.73 … During her senior season, was a 3-time California Coast Athletic League champion in the 800 (2:23.42), 1600 (4:56.15) and 4x400 (4:13.20) … As an underclassman, was an 8-time Metro Modesto League champion … Swept the 800 and 1600 MMC titles as a freshman and junior … Added another 1600 crown as a sophomore while running legs on the Jaguars’ 3 conference-winning 4x400 relays, including twice as the anchor … Registered personal prep bests of 2:12.01 (800), 4:56.15 (1600), and 11:33.88 (3200).

PERSONAL:  Born Dec. 15, 2000, in Hayward, Calif., to Guillermo Garcia and Maria Meza … Has a younger sister (Kayleen) … Majoring in Allied Health … Would like to go into children’s physical therapy … Enjoys winter sports and crafting along with watching boxing and MMA.
