Biography

2022-23:  PacWest all-Academic team, first team all-PacWest…started all 31 games…led team in points (14.1 ppg) and assists (149)...made 62 three-point shots at a 35.4% clip…reached 1,000-point plateau in a home win over Chaminade on January 20…had 18-point, 12-assist performance against Cal State Los Angeles in November and a season-high 28 points against Dominican on February 4…scored in double figures 25 times, including 14 of the Cougars’ last 15 games

2021-22: 
Named a First Team All-PacWest performer… Started in all 29 games for the Cougars this season, leading the team with 979 total minutes, averaging 33.8 per game… Led the team and PacWest with 148 assists, averaging 5.1 per game with an assis/turnover ratio of 2.0 (2nd in PacWest)... Ranked first on the team scoring 389 total points, averaging 13.4 points per game (9th in PacWest) and shot 72.6% (85-for-117) from the free throw line (6th in the PacWest)...Was tied for first on the team with steals with 69 (4th in PacWest)... Was 128-for-326 shooting from the field… Shot 35.6% (48-for-135) from beyond-the-arc, averaging 1.6 three-pointers per game (10th in the PacWest)… Recorded a double-double in back-to-back games; Holy Names (11 points and 10 rebounds), Fresno Pacific (17 points and 11 assists)... In the first round of the West Regional against Cal State San Marcos, she knocked down a three as time expired in regulation to tie the game sending it to overtime, where the Cougars won via a score of 89-86.

2020-21 (Sophomore):  Returned to action from major knee surgery a month sooner than expected and put together an excellent 17-game season ... Averaged 12.9 points and a team-high 3.7 assists ... Named NCAA West Region All-Tournament after scoring 28 points to go along with 8 assists in a pair of Cougar victories that propelled Azusa Pacific into its second straight NCAA Elite Eight ... Came on the strong over the final two-thirds of the season, averaging 18.2 points in the last 11 games, highlighted by a 25-point effort at Point Loma, where she singled-handedly saved the Cougars' season ... With the Cougars trailing by 12 with just over 8 minutes to play, Uyehara scored the game's next 11 points on a trio of treys and a lay-up in less than 2 minutes to pull the Cougars' to within 1 at 67-66 (APU eventually won on a pair of free throws) and went on the next day to beat Point Loma again and secure a berth into the NCAAs ... Made just two 3-pointers through the first 6 games, but then canned 23 over the final 11 games, including a career-high 5 against Biola when she scored a career-high 27 and led a Cougar rally from 15 down in the final 13 minutes of the game for an 83-76 victory ... Four times recorded a career-high 6 assists, including 3 straight games vs. Point Loma (twice) and Fresno Pacific ... Though just 5-foot-5, tallied career-highs of 8 rebounds and 3 blocked shots in a game against Point Loma.

2019-20 (Freshman): Came off the bench the first 24 games of the campaign before a knee injury ended her season ... Averaged 5.9 points, 2.3 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 18 minutes a game... Tallied a season-high 6 assists in a win at Notre Dame de Namur ... Scored a season-high 12 points in a win at Academy of Art... Notched three steals on four occasions... Earned Academic All-PacWest.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Was a 4-year varsity player at St. Francis High in Mountain View, Calif., where she was a 2-time all-league first team pick in one of the best girl's basketball conferences in the west -- the West Catholic Athletic League ... As a 2019 senior, led the Lancers to a 16-10 record by averaging 15.1 points, 3.8 assists and 3.2 steals ... Became the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,412 points ...  Tallied 20 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in an 84-60 win over Aragon ... Named All-CIF second team ... As a 2018 junior averaged 11.9 points and 3 assists while leading the WCAL in steals and free throws made ...  As a 2017 sophomore, averaged 11.2 points and 2.4 assists while leading the Lancers to the NorCal semifinals of the sate tournament ... Scored a career-high 31 points in a 59-57 victory over Sacramento High ... Made an immediate impact as a 2016 freshman, averaging a team-leading 13 points and 2 steals, while leading the WCAL in most 3-pointers (62) ... As a 14-year old freshman, scored 16 points in her first high school game, leading St. Francis to 66-27 victory over Washington High ... Paced the Lancers to an 18-10 record while earning All-WCAL second team recognition ... Also competed 2 seasons in gymnastics for the Lancers.

PERSONAL:  Born March 24, 2001, in Mountain View, Calif., to Lance and Tracey Uyehara ... Has an older brother, Blake, who played basketball at NCAA DIII Pacific Lutheran in Tacoma, Wash. ... Her uncle, Chad Uyehara, played baseball at the University of Hawaii ... Majoring in allied health with a goal to go into the medical profession.
