THIS YEAR: Senior Meliame Hala’ufia returns to the Cougars in search of a starting berth along the Cougar front … Brings size and strength to the post … Offensively can play with her back to the basket … Will provide the team with quality rebounding and post defense ... Noted for her good shooting touch near the basket.
2005: Appeared in all 34 of the Cougars’ games as a 2005 junior, starting 8 ... Averged 6.4 points and 3.2 rebounds while shooting at a .561 (87-for-155) clip from the floor, second best on the team ... Finished the season strong, coming off the bench to tally 30 points and 11 rebounds in 2 NAIA Tournament games, including a career-high 18 points in 15 minutes vs. longtime power Oklahoma City ... Had 15 points in 16 minutes vs. Hope International ... Tallied 9 points and 8 rebounds vs. top-ranked Vanguard.
CALIFORNIA BAPTIST: Spent 1 season as a redshirt at California Baptist but did not play.
