THIS YEAR: A freshman walk-on, Liz Williams figures to be a contributor off the bench this year ... May not get much experience during what should be a developmental year.
JORGENSON SAYS: "Lis is a player who will gain experience this year. She will need to assume her role on this team and learn our system. Her strength is pushing the ball up the floor. the experience she gains in practice will help our program in the future."
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Palmer (Alaska) High, from which she graduated in 1996 ... Was a 2-time all-region pick, including first team recognition as a 1996 senior ... Averaged 5.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 steals during her senior campaign ... Had season highs of 16 points (vs. North Pole High) and steals (3 times) ... Received 106 Elks Showdown All-Tourney honor ... Honored with the highest GPA (4.0) award as a 1995 junior .. .Led the Moose to second place finishes in the regionals as a junior and senior ... Also competed in cross country and track & field.
