2023: Named a D2CCA and NFCA First Team All-Region performer and was recognized as a First Team All-PacWest performer... Was named the Wilson/NFCA National Pitcher of the Week on 3/21 and earned PacWest weekly honors three times this season…In the circle, led the PacWest in wins (20), innings pitched (203.1), and ranked top ten in ERA (1.45), opposing batting average (.203), strike outs (134), and saves (2)... Had 19 complete games with a 1.15 WHIP over 38 appearances… At the plate, ranked top ten in the conference with a .555 SLG%, .954 OPS, 31 RBI, 15 doubles, seven home runs and 24 walks... Compiled a .311 AVG% with 51 hits, 18 runs scored and a .399 OB%... In a 1-0 victory to open the 2023 season, she threw a nine-inning shutout, striking out a career-high 13 and also went 2-for-4, with a triple and the game-winning RBI.
2022: Named a Third Team All-PacWest performer and earned Academic All-PacWest distinction… Over 28 appearances, she led the team in ERA (1.80), WHIP (1.10), wins (13), complete games (12), saves (3), innings pitched (124.1), and strikeouts (106)... She was top 10 in the PacWest in wins (3rd), batters striking out looking (4th), strikeouts (5th), saves (5th), ERA (6th), opposing batting average (9th), and innings pitched (9th)… In a victory of Western New Mexico, she threw a five inning no hitter, walking just two and striking out seven… Offensively, she was 5-for-13 (.385 AVG%) going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run… In the opening game of a four game series against Hawai’i Pacific, Korstrom hit a two-run inside the park homerun in the seventh inning to give the Cougars the victory.
2021 (Freshman): Earned Academic All-PacWest honors...Appeared in 24 games for the Cougars this season on the mound...Had a 7-3 record with 63.2 innings pitched...Posted an ERA of 2.20 (4th in PacWest) and a WHIP of 1.46. Was top-ten in the Conference in strikeouts (42) and opposing batting average (.252)...Offensively, went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double in the Cougar’s road victory at San Diego Christian...Went a season-high 6.1 innings pitched with three strikeouts in the Cougars home game against Biola on March 26th.
Prep Softball: Graduated from Yale Secondary in Abbotsford, Canada… Played travel softball for the White Rock Renegades under Ted Birdsall… Played pitcher and first base.
Personal: Born March 15, 2002… Daughter of Derek and Julie Kortsrom… Has one brother Carter and one sister Sarah… Her dad Derek and uncle Greg Korstrom played football at Tabor College… Majoring in Kinesiology.
