Biography
2020-21 (COVID-abbreviated season): Earned Academic All-PacWest honors...Played in all 17 games, averaging 2.9 points in 17 minutes a game...had season-high 11 points in a crucial road victory over Point Loma on February 6...had a season-best four assists in the season opening win at Biola on January 22.
THIS YEAR: A promising newcomer, freshman guard Jane Ersepke could prove to be a key rookie off the bench for the Cougars this year ... A fundamentally sound and smart player ... Noted for her strength and physical play as well ... Has a good perimeter jumper but can be quite effective in the key as well ... Figure to have an excellent future as her college career unfolds.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 4 seasons of varsity basketball at North Medford High in Medford, Ore. ... Was a 3-time All-Southwest League second team honoree from her sophomore to senior seasons as point guard ....Twice scored a career-high 22 points,including once in a blowout victory over Roseburg H High ... As a 2018 sophomore helped lead the Black Tornados to a 19-10 record, the Southwest League championship and the Oregon 6A Elite Eight .... Also competed 3 seasons in track & field (lost her senior year to the pandemic) ... Excelled in the long jump, where she captured all-state honors as a sophomore when she finish seventh at the state meet with a leap of 17' 3 1/4 " ... Post personal records of 17' 4" (long jumps), and 33' 8" (triple jump) ... Missed much of her 2019 junior season with a knee injury.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 19, 2001, in Medford, Ore., to Tom and Julie Ersepke .... Has 3 older sisters (Amy, Stephanie, Megan) and 1 older brother (Anthony).... Majoring in Kinesiology ... Would like to go into physical therapy someday ... Enjoys hiking and biking.
