Irene Kim joins T.J. Hardeman’s coaching staff for her first collegiate coaching stint.
Kim was a 3-year starting point guard at Wheaton College (Ill.), graduating in 2006 after leading the Thunder to a pair of College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships and 2 NCAA Div. Kim graduated from Wheaton with a bachelor’s degree in education with a psychology concentration.
A Southern California native who prepped at Fullerton’s Rosary High, Kim returned home after her college graduation to coach at Fairmont Prep in Anaheim, where she was the JV head coach and was an assistant for a Huskies varsity program that went 17-12 and finished second in the San Joaquin League.
