2022: Named a Second Team All-Region selection by the NFCA and CCA, a First Team All-PacWest performer, named Academic All-PacWest, and tabbed PacWest player of the week honors (3/28). In her senior season, saw action in 47 games…Led the team and PacWest with 29 stolen bases, which ranks her 10th in all-time Cougar history with 43 career stolen bases... Tallied 64 hits (2nd in PacWest), a .395 AVG% (4th in PacWest), and a .449 OB% (4th in PacWest). Ranked second on the team with 39 runs scored (2nd in PacWest) and 2 triples (tied for 4th in PacWest). Over 162 at-bats, Smith struck out just nine times while recording 21 multi-hit games. She had a 17 game hit streak going from 2/19 to 3/22. In the Cougars eight game stretch against Holy Names and Academy of Art, Smith went 15-for-28, scoring 10 runs and recorded seven stolen bases. Defensively, posted a .950 FLD % with 37 putouts in the outfield.
2021 (Sophomore): Earned Academic All-PacWest honors...Saw action in 30 games with 10 starts for the Cougars...Posted five hits in 27 at-bats with two RBI...Scored nine runs and had three stolen bases...Tallied 16 putouts in the outfield with one assist (.941 FLD%)... Had a season-high four putouts in a conference game at Concordia on March 20th.
2020 (COVID-shortened season): Appeared in 20 games with 18 starts… Led the PacWest in sacrifice bunts (8)... Led the team in stolen bases (7) and posted the third highest batting average on the team with .341… Posted 15 hits in 44 at-bats with one RBI… Scored seven runs on the base path… Tallied 13 assists in the field as a utility player with a .952 fielding percentage... In a conference game against Dominican (March 11) had three hits in four at-bats with an RBI and three stolen bases to help lead the Cougars to a 6-1 win… Earned PacWest All-Academic Honors.
2019 (Freshman): Appeared in 23 games and started 11 games … Posted a .226 batting average … Posted 4 runs batted in … Posted 7 hits … Scored 12 runs … Earned PacWest All-Academic Honors.
High School: Attended Tracy High School… Played three seasons of varsity softball for coach Paulette Keeney… Served as a captain her senior year… Saw action at centerfield and third base... Scholar Athlete Award winner & Honor Roll all four years… Only lost one game in her high school career… Went 15-0 in her sophomore and senior seasons, and 14-1 in her junior year… Won the SJS Division 1 Championship as a senior… Named as a Tri-City Athletic League All-Conference Performer… In her final season, she had a .268 batting average, with 22 hits, 24 runs, nine runs batted in and two doubles… Over her three varsity seasons, she posted a .255 career batting average, with 67 hits, 74 runs, and 21 runs batted in.
