2022: Earned Academic All-PacWest honors…Saw action in 19 games with 16 starts for the Cougars in her senior season… Went 11-for-43 at the plate (.256 AVG%), while tallying seven RBI, two doubles, and one home run… On Senior Day against Biola, she went 1-for-1 with a solo home run (second of her career) and two runs scored to help lead Azusa Pacific to a 6-5 victory.
2021 (Sophomore): Earned Academic All-PacWest honors...Played in 12 games with eight starts for the Cougars..Collected three hits in 24 at-bats with one home run, one RBI and three runs scored...Posted four putouts on the season with no errors...Hit her first collegiate home run in the Cougars road game against Concordia on April 30th. Played in
2020 (COVID-shortened season): Appeared in 10 games while starting seven games in right field for the Cougars… Went 4-for-17 at the plate while tallying two doubles… Reached base via the walk five times… Scored three runs and totaled six bases on the season... Went perfect on stolen bases (2-for-2) for the year… Finished with a .833 fielding percentage with 14 putouts… Earned PacWest All-Academic Honors.
2019 (Freshman): As a true freshman started in one game against Holy Names (April 13)... Was selected to Academic All-PacWest.
High School: Attended Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif… Played three seasons of varsity softball for coach Mike Randall as an outfielder… In her first season on varsity as a sophomore, she had a .278 batting average… The following year, she started all 22 games, posting a .606 slugging percentage, .258 batting average, and led the team in runs batted in (20) and home runs (6)... As a senior, she had a .370 batting average, as well as a .608 slugging percentage… She graduate Magna Cum Laude… Spent two years in the AVID program… Was a member of the California Scholarship Federation all four years.
Personal: Born November 26, 2000 in Glendora, Calif… Daughter of Rafael and Brooke… Has one brother, Nathan, and one sister, Alexis… Her cousin, Taylor Salgado, currently plays soccer at Cal State Fullerton… She is pursuing a degree in criminal justice, while minoring in mathematics… Wants to attend the police academy following graduation, with the intention to become a detective.
