THIS YEAR: Freshman Mackenzie Sorrels joins the Cougars as a determined and hardworking athlete, eager to contribute to the team’s success in her first collegiate season … With a strong skill set and competitive mindset, she looks to develop and make an impact on the field.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 years on Varsity at Lake Mead Christian Academy in Henderson, Nevada, under head coach Mike Zuliani … As a sophomore, she showcased her offensive prowess by going 4-for-5 with 2 doubles, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored in a 17-11 victory over Laughlin …  In her senior year, she was instrumental in leading the team to notable achievements, including being named to the NCSAA Central US Super-Regional Team alongside her teammate …  Additionally, she demonstrated her pitching capabilities by delivering a standout performance against GV Christian, pitching 2.2 innings without allowing any hits, walks, or earned runs.
