Kelsie Monroe

Kelsie Monroe is in her second season as an assistant coach at Azusa Pacific, joining the program in 2016 following a standout career at Cal State Bakersfield.
 
Monroe was the Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year for Bakersfield as a senior in 2015, leading the league in ERA (2.93) while setting CSUB Division I single-season records for wins (16), complete games (21), strikeouts (125) and shutouts (6). She also graduated as the Roadrunners’ career leader in seven categories including wins (36), complete games (50), innings pitched (556.2), strikeouts (355) and shutouts (8).
 
Monroe, who threw the only solo no-hitter in CSUB’s Division I history, also earned NFCA West All-Region third team honors and was named to the WAC All-Tournament Team as a 2015 senior.
 
Monroe graduated from Los Banos High School in central California in 2011, where she earned first-team all-conference, all-section and pitcher of the year honors as a senior.
 
Monroe graduated from Cal State Bakersfield in 2015 with a major in business administration with a management concentration, and she is currently pursuing her master’s in leadership with an emphasis in sports management at Azusa Pacific.
