2025: Appeared in three games, making one start...She held a 2.70 ERA in 3.1 innings of work.

Prior to APU

Escobedo joined the Cougars as a highly decorated pitcher following a standout four-year varsity career at St. Joseph High School under Head Coach Anthony Razo. A dominant force in the circle and at the plate, she led the Knights through a historic run in the Mountain League.

During her tenure at St. Joseph, Escobedo’s accolades were extensive:

  • Championship Success: Led the Knights to a Mountain League Conference Championship as a junior and capped her career as a CIF Division II Champion her senior year.

  • League Honors: Named the Mountain League Pitcher of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, while also previously earning Offensive Player of the Year honors as a sophomore.

  • State Recognition: Ranked No. 33 in Cal-Hi Sports and was named the Northern Santa Barbara County Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

  • Postseason Awards: Honored as the CIF Most Inspirational Player following the Knights' championship run.

  • Club Experience: Competed for the California Storm under Coach Jimmy Castillo.

Personal

Born on October 9, 2006, to Benji and Deborah Escobedo. CharliRay is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. Known for her creative flair off the field, she enjoys various crafting projects and has a unique passion for collecting Kewpie dolls and small knick-knacks.
