Biography

THIS YEAR: Junior Alisa Arrigoni should push for a starting spot in the outfield . . . A consistent contact hitter . . . Has experience in both infield and outfield positions . . . Hard-nosed, mentally tough and aggressive. 

1999: Started all 46 games she played before missing the last 3 with a knee injury . . . Batted a team-high .365 and smacked 16 extra-base hits . . . Hit safely in 34 games, which included 14 multiple-hit games . . . Tallied a 7-game and a pair of 5-game hitting streaks . . . Went 3-for-4 with 2 solo home runs in a 14-5 victory over La Verne . . . Followed a 3-for-3, 2-RBI performance by going 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs in back-to-back victories over GSAC opponents Cal Baptist and Concordia. 

1998: Appeared in 49 games as a freshman, starting 44 in a variety of positions . . . Played the outfield, third base and second base . . . Also pitched, appearing in 8 games, starting 1, while posting a 4-0 record with a 1.58 ERA . . . Struck out 5 in 23.2 innings of work . . . At the plate, batted .324 with 19 RBIs, 9 doubles and a triple . . . Recorded 12 multiple-hit games, including a pair of 4-hit performances . . . Twice was 4-for-4 with 3 runs scored in a game (vs. Puget Sound and Claremont-Scripps). 

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Central High School in Fresno, Calif., from which she graduated in 1997 . . . Lettered in volleyball and softball as cheer . . . As a 1997 senior, named the Grizzlies' best offensive player for the second straight year. . . Voted second-team all-league . . . Selected all-league first team as a 1996 junior . . . Also voted all-league first team in volleyball as setter . . . Elected junior class secretary.
