THIS YEAR: Senior Bibi Pham teams with junior Rob Jarvis to form Azusa Pacific's decathlon contingent ... Is in just his third season of competing in the decathlon ... Has the potential to earn All-American status in the indoor pentathlon and outdoor decathlon ... Excels in the pole vault ... Should provide plenty of points at the GSAC Championships in a variety of events.Â
2003: Returned to track & field after a 3-year layoff and in his first season at Azusa Pacific, won the GSAC decathlon title ... Tallied a career-best 5,250 points in a decathlon at Point Loma Nazarene in mid-March ? Qualified for the NAIA Indoor (high hurdles) and Outdoor (decathlon) Championship Meets but did not make it the finals in either event, dropping out of the decathlon early in the second day ... Had a season-best of 3,113 in the pentathlon.Â
SADDLEBACK: Competed 2 seasons for coach Taz Murtaugh at Saddleback Community College in Mission Viejo, Calif. ... Tried his first-ever decathlon as a 2000 sophomore ... Competed in the pole vault, triple jump and ran anchor on the Gauchos' 4x100 relay.Â
