THIS YEAR:  Redshirt freshman Steve Lukasiewicz is primed to make his collegiate debut on the field and fill a key role in the Cougar scheme ... Is a good 2-way player and will see time at third base and behind the plate as a catcher ... Has good size which affords him the opportunity to be powerful at the plate ... Has a plus arm.

2024:  Redshirted his first year at Azusa Pacific, attending classes, practicing with the team but not participating in any games.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 2 years of varsity baseball at state prep power Valor Christian High in Highlands Ranch, Colo. ... As a 2023 senior, earned all-state honorable mention, All-Jeffco League first team after helping lead the Eagle to the state 5A championship and a 20-8 record ... Went 3-for-3 in the state title game vs. Cherokke Trail, scoring 2 runs in the Eagles 4-0 victory ... Batted .346 in 27 games during his senior campaign, tallying 11 doubles with a home run and 23 runs scored ... As a 2022 junior, batted .300 in 25 games with a home run, 4 doubles and 16 RBIs for the 15-12 Eagles who advanced to the Great Eight in the state tournament ... Batted .325 in 52 career games at Valor ... Also played 2 years of golf at Valor ... Played 3 seasons of travel ball for Slammers Colorado, coached by Mike Fiscus.
