Biography

2017 (sophomore): Went 10-10 in singles playing at the No. 4 position for the majority of the season and 12-12 in doubles paired with Antonio Pejic and Shepherd Newcomb at the No. 3 position. 

2016 (fall) : Reached quarterfinal at the ITA Regional Tournament after claiming a victory over No.1 seed Eric Tseng (UCSD) 6-4, 0-6 (10-5).

2016 (freshman) : In his first season as a Cougar he was thrust into the lineup for both singles and doubles... Had an overall singles record of 5-6, Pluim posted four victories at No. 6 and one at No. 3… In doubles he teamed with Pascal Engel and for an 8-6 record; all came from the second spot.

2015 (offseason): Reached the quarterfinals of the 2015 Heerhugowaards Open in July... In his debut in a Cougar uniform, defeated CJ Erion from Point Loma in three sets. Reached a career-high national ranking in Netherlands of 152 on Dec. 7, 2015 and reached No. 172 in doubles on Sept. 1, 2014... Defeated Man Hon Ko from Concordia at the 59th annual Southern California Intercollegiate Championships.

Personal: Born in Amsterdam, Netherlands to Mauritska and Yaap Pluim... Is majoring in business management.
