2026 (Junior): Nicodemus joins the Azusa Pacific program as a battle-tested transfer from the California junior college ranks. A dynamic player who recently earned ITA All-American honors at the JUCO level, he brings a high-energy style and significant postseason experience to the Cougars' middle-lineup for the 2026 campaign.

Prior to APU (Glendale Community College)

2025 (Sophomore): Put together a dominant sophomore season that culminated in being named a 2025 ITA CCCAA All-American. He was a fixture at the top of the Vaqueros' lineup, consistently ranking in the ITA Top 10 for Southern California. His performance helped lead Glendale to a deep postseason run and a top-tier state ranking. 2024 (Freshman): Established himself immediately as a key contributor for a Glendale team that finished the season ranked No. 2 in the state. He finished the year ranked No. 46 in the state for singles and No. 25 for doubles, proving his versatility across both formats.

High School A standout performer at Leon High School in Tallahassee, Florida, under coach Kevin Record.

• Prep Accolades: Capped off his high school career as an FHSAA State Championship Finalist (2023). He entered the state tournament as a top seed and battled through three consecutive tiebreak matches to reach the overall state singles final.

• Team Leadership: Competed for the Lions for four years, helping the program maintain its status as a regional powerhouse in Florida’s Class 3A.

• Club: Trained extensively in the Florida circuit, developing a reputation for grit and late-match stamina.

Personal Born October 4, 2005... Son of Maria and Stephen Nicodemus... Majoring in Business Analytics... Native of Santa Clarita, Calif., who returned to his home state for his collegiate career... Enjoys snowboarding during the off-season.

• Fun Fact: Ian is a true "clutch" performer; during his run to the Florida State Finals, he won three straight matches in third-set tiebreakers, including an 11-9 thriller in the opening round.
