Biography

THIS YEAR:  Sophomore Tyler Stromberg returns to give the Cougars quality depth at the goalkeeper position … Has good size and solid technical skills in the goal … With a year of collegiate development under his belt, is ready to spend quality minutes between the posts.
 
2007 (Sophomore): Appeared in four games, starting in 3 of them … Did not allow a goal in his 245 minutes of action.
 
2006 (Freshman):  Gained valuable experience in 5 games, playing 4 complete games and posting a 1-1-2 record as a starter … Shut out each of his first 2 opponents … Made a career-high 5 saves to preserve a double-overtime scoreless draw with Westmont … Played just over 30 second-half minutes against San Diego Christian to combine with James Crawford and Zach Baker for a team shutout, 1 of the Cougars’ 10 cleansheets.
 
HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 4 seasons of varsity soccer at Eastside Catholic High in Bellevue, Wash., for head coach Matt Potter … Over his final 2 seasons, led the Crusaders to a 25-6-4 overall record, including a 17-2-2 campaign as a 2005 junior … Helped Eastside Catholic to the Metro League championship and the state quarterfinals his junior season … Earned All-Metro League first team honors as a 2006 senior.
 
PERSONAL:  Born Sept. 22, 1988, to Kris Stromberg and Carol Bodlovic … Has a younger brother (Ryan) … Cousin Wade Bodlovic played baseball at Gonzaga from 1993-94 … Majoring in psychology.
