1995:  The most skilled player on the team, sophomore Shayon Jalayer looks to improve upon his All-American season of a year ago ... Candidate for GSAC Player of the Year recognition ... Positive player with a great work ethic ... Can elude more than one defender at a time.

1994 (freshman):  Earned NAIA All-America third team honors after scoring 24 points (8 goals and 8 assists) during his freshman campaign (one of only 4 freshmen named to the the 3 NAIA All-America team) ... His first goal of the season was also the team's first in the Cougars' 3-0 season-opening win at Cal Lutheran ... His last goal was the game-winner in the Cougars' 4-3 OT victory at Biola, a victory that propelled Azusa Pacific into the playoffs ... Started all 22 games.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played his high school ball at James Madison High in Great Falls, Va. ... Won all-state, all-metro, and all-region honors during his 1988 senior season.

PERSONAL:  Born Nov. 25, 1970, in Evanston, Ill. ... Named to the 1995 U.S. Indoor National Team and played in the indoor World Cup in Argentina last April ... Majoring in political science.
