THIS YEAR:  A transfer from Chowan University, junior Leke Ademola is an impact newcomer who, when healthy, will push for a starting berth ... Could prove to be a key player in the Cougar offense and perhaps press for conference honors.

CHOWAN:  Played 2 seasons at NCAA Division II Chowan University in Murfreeboro, North Carolina ... Appeared in 25 games during his 2-year career with the Hawks, starting 17 ... Scored 7 goals and assisted on another 4 ... Averaged 60 minutes of play per game ... During his 2023 sophomore campaign, appeared in 17 of the Hawks' 18 games, starting 14 ... Scored 9 goals, including Chowan's only counter in a 1-1 tied with Converse in the Conference Carolinas' championship game (Hawks won via PKs) ... Chowan posted an 8-4-6 record and advanced to the first round of the NCAA Tournament ... Scored the game-winner in the 65th minute in Chowan's 1-0 victory over Lees-McRae ...
