THIS YEAR:  Kaleb Abara is set to take the field for his collegiate action after redshirting his first year at Azusa Pacific ... Rated a good athlete with fine soccer skills ... Will push for a starting role and at the very least play a key role of the bench ... Has a promising future with the Cougars.

2023:  Suffered a pre-season injury that kept him off the field in the fall ... Attended classes at APU while recovering.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 4 seasons of varsity soccer for head Coach Chris Lee at Iolani School in Honolulu ... As a 2023 senior was named the Gatorade State Player of the Year after scoring 9 goals and assisting on 8 while leading Raiders to a 9-1-3 record and the state Division I championship ... Scored Iolani's lone goal in a 1-1 shootout (4-3) victory over Mililani High in the championship game... Also named state player of the year, Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) first team ... During the Raiders' 2023 postseason run, scored 5 goals and tallied an assist in 3 postseason games ... Named state tournament Most Outstanding Player ... Over his final 2 seasons at Iolani, led the Raiders to a combined 16-2-6 record and a pair of conference championships.

PERSONAL:  Born Mardch 3, 2005, in Honolulu to Flo and Denise Abara ... Has a younger brother (Kaysen) ... His mom, Denise, played soccer at the University of Hawaii ... Majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in health professions.
