Biography

THIS YEAR:  Now in his fourth year in the program, junior Josiah Emerson will press for playing time and a possible starting berth in goal ... Outstanding person with great leadership skills ... Mature beyond his years.

2023: Came off the bench in 1 game during his 2023 redshirt sophomore season, recording 45 minutes and 1 save in net during the Cougars' 5-0 victory  over Chaminade. 

2022: Saw action in three games with one start in goal this year for the Cougars… Collected 9 save on the season with a career-high five saves against Academy of Art.

2021: Did not appear in a game this year.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 3 seasons of varsity soccer for Head Coach Fred Bruce-Oliver at Claremont (Calif.) High ... Was part of a Wolfpack program that went 28-21-4 during his 3 seasons, the best coming during his 2020 junior campaign when CHS posted an 12-5 record, which included an 8-2 Palomares League mark, good enough for second ... Earned All-Palomares League first team recognition as a 2021 senior.

PERSONAL:  Birthday is July 2 ... Majoring in computer science with a minor in math ... His father, Todd Emerson, played baseball at Azusa Pacific.
