THIS YEAR: Senior John Kightlinger transfers to Azusa Pacific after playing the past 2 seasons at NCAA Division III-power Wheaton (Ill.) College where he played for current Cougar head coach Phil Wolf, who was an assistant ... Is an excellent playmaker, scoring 41 goals and handing out 11 assists for 93 points in his 3-year collegiate career ... Natural goal scorer that will alleviate pressure off Jordan Jones ... Will team with Jones to form one of the most dangerous scoring tandems in the conference ... Good 1-on-1 ... Rated a good 2-way player ... Has an uncanny ability to find the back of the net ...
