THIS YEAR: A well-played freshman, Fausto Moran brings a variety of youth experience into his freshman season at Azusa Pacific as he vies to become the Cougars’ longtime keeper following Alexis Rodriquez’ APU career.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 4 seasons of varsity level soccer for Head Coach Jimmy Huerta at Pinecrest Academy of Sloan Canyon, located in Henderson, Nev., where he ranked among the top 2 state leaders in saves in 3 different seasons … Collected nearly 800 saves in 50 games and 3,900 minutes of play from 2024 to 2026 … As a 2026 senior, tallied 205 saves, the second most in the state … As a 2025 junior, named NIAA 3A Keeper-of-the-Year after recording a state-leading 344 saves in 18 games, averaging a whopping 19.1 saves a contest, far-and-away the highest average by any Silver State prep keeper (second was 11.5 avg.) … Recorded 3 shutouts during his junior year and registered 6 for his 54-game prep career … Had a state-best 245 saves as a 2024 sophomore … Named the Pirates’ Player-of-the-Year as both a junior and senior.
CLUB: Played for Heat FC, Albion SC, and Villareal FC during his high school years and played on teams that won the Las Vegas Invitational Labor Day Tournament and Thanksgiving Tournament.
