THIS YEAR: Sophomore defender Ethan Nguyen enters his second season at Azusa Pacific after making his collegiate debut last year … A versatile defender capable of playing right back or center back, Nguyen will look to build on his experience and compete for a larger role in the Cougar back line.

2025 (freshman): Appeared in 1 match as a 2025 freshman … Made his collegiate debut against Vanguard, logging 22 minutes.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 3-time all-league first team selection for Head Coach Pete Orosco and Kemp Wells at Diamond Bar (Calif.) High … Served as a 2-year team captain for the Brahmas while playing right back, center back, defensive midfield and central midfield … Capped his prep career as a 2025 senior by earning All-Palomares League first team, Academic All-League, Brahma of the Year, Diamond Bar High School Hall of Fame and Scholar Athlete recognition while serving as team captain … As a 2024 junior, was selected Defensive MVP of the Hacienda League while also earning Brahma of the Year, Academic All-League and Scholar Athlete honors … Earned Defensive Player of the Year honors as a freshman and was named All-Hacienda League first team as a sophomore … Also played 4 years of club soccer for SoCal Elite FC, serving as team captain under Head Coach David Oh.
