Rick Koch begins his sixth season as an assistant for head coach Phil Wolf. Koch (pronounced COOK) will work primarily with Cougar goalkeepers James Crawford, Tyler Stromberg and Zach Baker.

A native of Seattle, Wash., Koch moved to California in 1996. He is presently the Sports Ministry Director at Grace Church of Glendora where he is responsible for the church’s soccer league that has more than 300 kids and 18 teams.  He is also the director for the Pac West Soccer Camp.  

Throughout the past 14 years, Koch has coached in various youth leagues, indoor leagues and camps.
As a player, Koch played in the Premiere League in Seattle, leading his team to the Under-19 Premiere Cup championship.  He also played 3 seasons with the West Coast Americans.

Koch’s twin brother, Jeff, is currently an assistant coach at NAIA-member Seattle University where he has been for the past 14 seasons.  Jeff also aided in the development of current U.S. National Team goalkeeper Kasey Keller.

Koch, 41, and his wife, Cindy, have 3 daughters—Danielle (12), Alexis (9) and Madison (6).  They reside in La Verne, Calif.
