Dane Johnson will serve as an assistant coach for the 2017 season.
The former Cougar standout switches from the playing field to the coaches box. The 2016 campaign was his last in an Azusa Pacific uniform. During his tenure the squad won a conference title (2014) while earning a berth into the NCAA Tournament.
He was a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection one time as well as an all-conference choice on one occasion. He concluded his career with the starting nod in 43 of his last 46 game at his defensive position.
Johnson earned his bachelors degree in Applied Exercise Science.
