Biography

THIS YEAR:  After a breakout season a year ago, junior Chandler Harris returns in line to start at left back … Brings a solid technical ability to the field … Plays well with both feet … Rated a good athlete and is very fast. 

2003:  Started 17 of 18 games … Scored 5 goals (second most on team) and tallied a team-high 8 assists for 18 points, which was second most on the team … Took 25 shots, 12 of them on goal … Scored all 5 of his goals in 2 games when he scored a pair to go along with an assist in a win over Christian Heritage as well as his first-career hat trick to go with 2 assists in a win over Hope International … Tallied an assist in 3 straight wins over Concordia (Ore.), No. 9-ranked Simon Fraser (B.C.) and Westminster (Utah).  

2002:  Appeared in 17 games, starting 8, as a true freshman … Finished with a pair of assists and 18 shots (5 on goal) … Started 8 of the final 10 games … Recorded his first collegiate point in the Cougars’ 3-1 victory over defending NAIA Region II Champion Alliant International … Notched his second assist in the Cougars’ season finale victory at Christian Heritage. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 3 seasons at Redwood High in Visalia, Calif. … Led the Rangers to a combined 60-18-12 mark in 3 seasons, which included a West Yosemite League championship as a 2002 senior … Was a 3-time All-West Yosemite League first team selection, earning MVP honors as a junior and senior … Was a 2-time All-Valley pick. 

PERSONAL:  Born Sept. 13, 1983, in Santa Cruz, Calif., to Clifton and Charmaine Harris … Has 1 brother (Quinlan) and 1 sister (Alysia) … Father, Clifton, played football and baseball at Stanford … Would like to be a fireman or a sports psychologist … Was a part of the German Club in high school and took a missions trip to Germany.
