THIS YEAR:  One of the top incoming freshmen in the PacWest, Brooklyn Kostoff will press for starting duties in already deep and competitive field of setters among the Cougars ... Is very skilled and smart about the game ... Noted for her ability to move the pace of the game and rely on her good court vision.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 4 years of varsity high school volleyball, 2 years at El Toro High in Lake Forest, Calif., and then the final 2 years at Santa Margarita Catholic High in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. ... In 63 matches playing for Head Coach Katy Daly at Santa Margarita, produced 1,828 assists (10.2 per set) to go along with 246 digs while directing an Eagle program that was 37-25 and 2 CIF Southern Section playoff appearances  ... Was a 2-time All-Trinity League selection ... As a 2021 sophomore at El Toro, led the Chargers to the CIF Southern Section Division III championship and a 20-8 record ... Earned All-CIF SS and All-Sea View League recognition for her play that season ... Played for Momentous Volleyball Club out of Irvine, Calif.
