THIS YEAR:  A transfer from Palomar Community College, junior Alex Vidican is expected to press for a starting berth in the Cougar midfield ... At the very least, will supply quality depth off the bench and bolster midfield play.

JUNIOR COLLEGE:  Played 2 seasons for Head Coach David Linenberger at Palomar Community College in San Marcos, Calif. ... A versatile player who filled roles as a striker, midfielder, and winger for the Comets ... Appeared in 28 games, starting 21, during his 2-year Palomar career, scoring 12 goals to go along with 5 assists ... Had 7 goals in 9 games in a 2023 injury-shortened sophomore season ... As a 2022 freshman, started 16 of 19 games played, tallying 5 goals and 3 assists while helping the Comets make their first CCCAA state tournament in several years ... Had 2 goals in a 3-1 win over Santiago Canyon and another 2 goals in a late-season return-to-play 11-0 win over Imperial Valley.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 3 seasons of varsity soccer for Head Coach Richard Kaiser at Rancho Buena Vista High ... Led the Longhorns to a pair of CIF playoff appearances, including his 2021 senior season while Rancho Buena Vista posted a 9-7-3 record, which included a 4-3-1 clip in the Avocado East League ... Played Hector Prado of Vista Storm Soccer Club.

PERSONAL:  Born June 20, 2003, in Oceanside, Calif., to Cory and Kim Vidican ... Has a younger sister ... Majoring in Kinesiology.
