One of the most successful runners in Azusa Pacific cross country and track & field history, John Gregg is in his third year as graduate assistant to Head Coach Marv Mardock.
Greg was a physical education major at Azusa Pacific after attending Glendora High School (1963) and Citrus Junior College (1965). He spent the 1965-67 years in the U.S. Air Force.
During his high school competition, Gregg was the CIF champion and record holder for the 2-mile run. Later at zusa Pacific, he established a school record the 880-yard run (1:54.2) and was a member of the record relay teams for the 400 and mile races. He was an NAIA All-District 3 cross country member in 1969.
Greg still manages races on the amateur level and is currently president of the Foothill Track Club.
