Biography
CAREER: A hard-working never-quit kind of player, Tim Sebek joined teammate Scott Williams as the first players ever to be members of 4 Golden State Athletic Conference championship teams ... Was a hard-nosed defender who sacrificed his body to make the play ...Played a couple of different positions for the Cougars ... A good long-range shooter as evidenced by his 150 career 3-pointers, second on the all-time Cougar chart at the time of his graduation ... A fabulous athlete, went on to join the Cougar soccer team when his basketball career ended, his first time playing organized soccer.
1996 (senior): Named 1996 All-GSAC first team ... Averaged 12.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists (second on the team) ... Canned a team-high 68 treys ... Eclipsed the 20-point barrier 5 times, including when he tallied a career-high 26 in a Cougar victory at Christian Heritage ... Had 18 points and 11 rebounds (the only double-double of his career) in a victory over UC San Diego ... Had 24 points vs. Point Loma Nazarene and 23 (5-for-7 from 3-point) against Concordia ... Made at least 1 3-pointer in 31 of 33 games ... In early January, put together a 6-game stretch in which he averaged 18.8 points and 5.8 rebounds ... 1995 (junior): As a 1995 junior, became a starter for the first time in his Azusa Pacific career, starting all 33 games at wing ... Nearly opted to redshirt the season because of a knee injury ... Tied for team lead in 3-pointers (60) and was third in scoring (11.1 avg.) ... Tallied a season-high 25 points in the Cougars' 107-86 victory at Dominican ... Scored 20 vs. Cal State San Bernardino and had another 19 at Southern Cal College, including 13 in the first half ... Had 21 double-digit scoring games ... HIGH SCHOOL: A 4-year varsity letterman at Nordhoff High in Ojai, Calif. ... A 2-time All-CIF and a 4-time All-Frontier League selection (league's co-MVP as a junior and senior) ... Won all-state recognition after averaging 24.6 points, 11.4 rebounds and 7.6 assists during his 1992 senior season ... A 3-time All-Ventura County honoree with both the L.A. Times and Ventura County Coaches' Association ... Is Nordhoff's all-time leading scorer (1,664 points) and rebounder (973) and also tops Nordhoff's career charts in assists (540) and 3-pointers made (144) ...
