Biography
THIS YEAR: Senior Scott Blake understands his role and fills it quite well coming off the bench … A good perimeter shooter … Known for his great work ethic and upbeat attitude … Has a great sense of humor and thus is quite popular amongst teammates.
2002: Appeared in 21 games as a 2002 junior, making his first-ever collegiate start (vs. Life Bible) … Filled in quite admirably late in the season when Anthony Haggins went down with season-ending injury, coming off the bench in key situations … Had 3 rebounds in just 7 minutes of play in the GSAC Tournament Championship game victory over Biola … Tallied a season-high 7 points in a victory over Hope International … Appeared in all 4 NAIA Tournament games in Kansas City, Mo., averaging nearly 9 minutes a contest.
2001: Appeared in 27 games off the bench ... Averaged 1.6 points and 8.7 minutes... Scored a season-high 7 points in an 85-52 win over Douglas ... Played a season-high 21 minutes against Florida College in the second game of the season.
2000: Appeared in 21 games off the bench as a redshirt freshman ... Averaged 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest ... Was a one-man wrecking crew against Bethany College, leading the Cougars to their second victory of the season over the Bruins by tallying a career-high 24 points in just 21 minutes of a 108-46 win ... Showed outside savvy by hitting 4-of-6 3-pointers (66.7%) in that contest (9-of-12 overall) ... Snatched a career-high 7 rebounds against Bethany the first time around helping the Cougars to a 53-32 advantage on the glass in a 90-77 win.
1999: Redshirted the 1999 season while attending Azusa Pacific and working out with the team.
TROY HIGH: In 3 years of varsity play, was a 2-time All-Freeway League pick at Troy High School in Fullerton, Calif. ... Averaged 17 points as a 1998 senior and 12 points as a 1997 junior ...
