HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons of varsity basketball at Whittier Christian High School for head coach Sherwin Durham ... Left as Whittier Christian's all-time leader in three-pointers made and is the school's third-highest all-time scorer ... Led the team in scoring each of his final three seasons ... Was a three-time All-Olympic League first team pick, earning league MVP honors his junior year ... Averaged 20.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals as a senior in 2010-11, leading the Heralds to a 22-8 season ... Made eight-of-13 three-pointers to score a career-high 38 points against Webb (Claremont) ... Had 17 games with at least 20 points his senior year, including a stretch of 12 times in 14 games when he twice registered six consecutive 20-point games ... Also grabbed double-digit rebounds in nine games ... Drilled 16-of-19 free throws in a 27-point effort that led Whittier Christian to a win over Village Christian (Sun Valley) ... During his 2009-10 junior season, averaged 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and had five 20-point games including a season-high 30 points with 12 rebounds in a victory over Pacific Hills ... Averaged 11.3 points with a season-high of 23 points as a 2008-09 sophomore.

PERSONAL: Born May 25, 1993, in La Habra, Calif., to Bob and Jeanine Brown ... Both parents are educators ... Has one sister (Whitley), who is a senior guard for Azusa Pacific's women's basketball team ... His mother is an Azusa Pacific alum while his dad, who was a longtime boys basketball coach at Whittier Christian, is a Biola graduate ... His uncle, Steve Brown, played basketball at the University of Montana, and his cousin, Justin Brown, played at Montana State ... Majoring in history and would like to be a teacher after graduation.
