2025-26 Season Analysis

Kaleb Taylor serves as a physical interior force and rim protector, averaging 8.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and a team-high 1.5 blocks per game while starting 14 contests. He shoots an efficient 68.8% from the field, consistently finishing around the rim and anchoring APU’s presence in the paint on both ends of the floor.

He delivers several impactful performances, highlighted by a season-high 12 rebounds against Jessup and multiple games with three or more blocks, changing shots and controlling the lane defensively.

2023-24:  Appeared in 28 of the Cougars' 33 games as a 2024 sophomore, starting 11, mostly for the injured Nate Kleppe ... Scored 104 points (3.7 avg.) and grabbed 71 rebounds (2.5 avg.) while blocking a team-high 20 shots ... Best outing came in an 87-82 victory over Academy of Art, tallying career-highs of 13 points and 8 rebounds in 20 minutes of play ... Also scored 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting in 19 minutes to help lead the Cougars to a 78-66 upset of top seed Point Loma in the PacWest Tournament championship game in San Diego ... Had a seaspm-high 4 blocked shots to help Azusa Pacific collect a 60-59 upset of Cal State LA in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

2022-23: Saw action in all 30 games as a true freshman, totaling 334 minutes … Shot .614 (43-for-70) clip from the floor and collected 79 rebounds with 5 steals and 18 blocks … In a victory over Seattle Pacific, had a season-high 10 points with a career-high 8 blocks.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 2 years of varsity basketball for Head Coach Terrelle Woody at Universal Academy in Irvine, Texas ... Also played for Woody and the PB Nation Grrr club team in the Dallas area.
